May 6, 2020 Dear Families:                      Happy Wednesday!  This week is a special week as we celebrate our wonderful teachers at Annunciation and teachers all over the world!  We feel incredibly privileged to work among professionals who go above and beyond each and every day.  As our teachers have forged ahead through these unprecedented times, they have demonstrated such strength and resiliency.  Teaching is truly a work of the heart - and with hearts as big as those on our team at AES, we know how loved our students are.  We are so lucky to have this esteemed faculty!  Thank you, teachers, for making our learning adventures so memorable.

Dear Families:

Happy Wednesday! Teaching is truly a work of the heart – and with hearts as big as those on our team at AES, we know how loved our students are.  We are so lucky to have this esteemed faculty!  Thank you, teachers, for making our learning adventures so memorable!

Very special thanks to our HSA for decorating our front lawn with Teacher Appreciation Week signs and for helping us to send some special surprises to our teachers.  Thank you also to all of our parents for finding special ways to thank our teachers, too!  Though we cannot be together and celebrate like we normally do, we are definitely working to ensure our teachers know just how loved they are!

Don’t forget this Friday is – FIELD TRIP FRIDAY!!  Aside from all of our Zoom lessons, our teachers have been participating in grade level planning meetings this week with Mrs. Perich and me, and they are ready to bring some fun adventures to our students on Friday.  Different grade levels will visit various places and have opportunities to explore new environments.  Some of our field trips have been designed and fit perfectly into our curriculum areas of study.  We are even more excited to visit parts of the world that we may not be able to visit on a regular field trip!  We know our Zoom sessions cannot span the entire day like our normal field trips do but it is our hope that these sessions bring something new for our students to enjoy and experience.  Let the adventures begin!

This Sunday, May 10th, we get the chance to celebrate some really incredible women, our MOMS!  Happy Mother’s Day to all of our incredible moms, grandmas, aunts, and godmothers in the community.  We hope you enjoy a special day honoring all of you! “A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take.”  Thank you for all that you do for our children!

If you have not already done so, please send an email to your child(ren)’s homeroom teacher(s) to confirm you have received their report card(s).  Please also be sure that when students login to Zoom, they are logging in with their first and last name.  It is very important to arrive at class on time!  We will be doing another registration drop off next Friday, May 15, 2020.
