Welcome back! We hope you had a restful Easter recess! It is hard to believe it is May! On Sunday, Bishop Massa along with Fr. Grippo, Fr. Kareem, and Fr. Sal anointed the Annunciation school and Our Lady of Fatima religious education students with holy chrism. They excitedly took the next step in their faith in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation!

Dear Families,

Since we are going to be walking tomorrow, we wanted to make sure you got our weekly update early!  I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone for their generous donations for our annual Walk-A-Thon.  We are incredibly excited to see the ELA enhancements put in place for the 2019-2020 school year.  Thank you for helping to move our initiative along!

Because we changed the route this year, we are inviting our students to understand that every step they take on Friday will go towards a greater goal!  This will add up to miles on their educational journey and that is a beautiful thing to take notice of.  Their work, your support, our guidance all lead to something incredible!  Your partnership means more than you know.

We are honoring Mrs. Kennedy (Pre-K3 teacher) as our grand marshal this year.  Mrs. Kennedy is undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer in early spring.  We stand with her as she fights this battle and her love of our children is so evident in her attendance at school during/after undergoing treatment!  We hope to also raise awareness for anyone who may have gone through this or may encounter this in their lifetime.  We all stand together as a community to support and will keep our prayers going for those affected by cancer!

Annunciation School’s Annual Family Fun Night will take place Friday, June 7th!!  This year’s event will offer our PreK3 – grade 4 families a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an evening of fun while participating in an exciting fundraising event for our school!  We are thrilled to feature a special Silent Auction with both favorites and never-before-seen auction items to bid on!  Add in raffles plus crafts, face painting/tattoos, pizza, sweet treats and entertainment by DJ Paul Grassi…..and it promises to be a night to remember!  Please see flyer attached and send in your RSVP’s.  Volunteers are needed as well!  If you are interested in helping, please contact Diane Matuzak at

As we kickoff summer celebrating Memorial Day Weekend, please keep in your hearts and minds those who served and died for our country.  We are forever grateful.

Thank you to the Ladies Guild for informing us of the following:
This year’s parade and ceremony will be held on Monday, May 27, 2019. The parade starts at 10am, followed by a ceremony at 10:30am at the American Legion Plaza near the Crestwood Train Station. In case of heavy rain, the parade will be cancelled and the 10:30am ceremony will be moved to the Annunciation School. Please come show your support of our veterans!

Have a blessed, safe, and happy weekend!
