Dear Families:          Happy Wednesday!  I hope you all enjoyed the extra day of rest this week!  I’d like to invite you all to pray to St. Rita to give the Yankees an extra boost in this current series!  We sure need it! Though last night resulted in a loss, it is certainly a good feeling to be a part of October baseball!  We will count our blessings!

Dear Families:

Happy Wednesday!

On Friday, your child(ren) will be receiving academic progress reports for quarter 1.  ALL students will receive progress reports for this quarter and they will be sent home hard-copy.   As you receive these progress reports, please note this is another tool our teachers use to communicate with you.  All progress reports must be signed and returned to the homeroom teachers.  If there are areas of weakness notated on your child(ren)’s progress report, do not fear – there is still time left in the quarter to improve!  We are always here to help our students strive to do their personal best! Spending extra time at home practicing math facts and reading just for fun is always helpful to progress in class!  We are proud of all that our students have accomplished thus far.

*Please consider signing up to pray for our deceased alumni.  Each year, we carry out this tradition and this year we need FIVE more families to sign up! *

Safety Reminders:

  • Pick Up/ Drop off: When you are driving on Westchester Avenue or on St. Eleanora’s please REDUCE your speed.
  • Do not block the crosswalk.
  • If you’re in a hurry – please ask a friend to walk your child(ren) in.  No one should be double parking or dropping off in the middle of the crosswalk.  We have PLENTY of parking.  The church lot is also available!
  • If a grandparent/babysitter/friend is dropping off your child(ren), please remind them of our safety rules.
  • When reversing, please be mindful of children crossing.  We have had too many “close calls” recently where drivers are not paying attention to those and their surroundings.

This is an immediate request/call to action as our child(ren)’s safety is paramount.
