Welcome back! We hope you had a restful Easter recess! It is hard to believe it is May! On Sunday, Bishop Massa along with Fr. Grippo, Fr. Kareem, and Fr. Sal anointed the Annunciation school and Our Lady of Fatima religious education students with holy chrism. They excitedly took the next step in their faith in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation!

Dear Families:

Tomorrow is Halloween!  Please see attachments regarding the Halloween Carnival!  Thank you for all of your generous donations!  We are looking forward to a wonderful day!

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather expected, we will have to CANCEL the Halloween Parade.  The students will have the opportunity to enjoy the carnival and it is our sincere hope that the rain clears for post-dismissal trick-or-treating!

Just a few safety reminders for trick-or-treating shared from Safe Kids Wordwide@:

    • Cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and crosswalks.
    • Put electronic devices down, keep heads up while walking.
    • Always walk on sidewalks or paths. If there are no sidewalks, walk facing traffic as far to the left as possible.
    • All kids under the age of 12 should be supervised by an adult while trick-or-treating.
    • Only go to homes with a porch light on.
    • Never enter a home and/or car for treat.

We hope you all have a Happy and Safe Halloween!

On Friday, we will gather as a school to celebrate the solemn holy day, All Saints’ Day.  We will remember all of the saints known and unknown who have made sacrifices and served as great examples of our faith.  We continue to implore our students to choose the right paths and to walk in the footsteps of the saints before them.  Please consider joining us for the celebration of mass at 10AM.  We would love to have our families with us as we celebrate this special day!  Our third graders will share their saint projects with us on November 5, 2019.  It is truly a special learning experience for us all!  They have worked really hard on these projects!  Special thank you to our third grade team for all their preparation in making this memorable – Mrs. Brazier and Ms. DaSilva.

**We are collecting soap and washcloths for the Midnight Run. Please consider donating.**
